B.C. Lions sign former Barton College standout Jordan Terrell

The B.C. Lions have signed American running back Jordan Terrell.

The five-foot-ten, 210-pound native of Ramseur, N.C. suited up in 37 games at Barton College from 2020 to 2023, rushing for 5,487 yards and 44 touchdowns on 969 carries. He was a three-time All-Super Region II All-American and a two-time All-South Atlantic Conference recipient.

Terrell rushed for a school record 403 yards in a victory over Erksine in 2023, falling only 22 yards shy of the Division II single-game record.

The Lions have also released defensive back Denzel Williams. The former Villanova Wildcat spent time with the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars in 2023 and the Baltimore Ravens in 2022 before being released.

The Lions will play their first of two preseason games on Saturday, May 25 when they visit the Calgary Stampeders.

The club will open the 2024 regular season on Sunday, June 9 when they travel to BMO Field to face the Toronto Argonauts.
