Sources: Montreal Alouettes agree to terms with Canadian DL Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund

The Montreal Alouettes have agreed to terms with Canadian defensive lineman Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund and, barring anything unforeseen, he’s expected to sign a two-year contract through the 2025 season with the team, per sources.

The former first-round pick played a rotational role in Calgary during the past two seasons after starting games as a rookie in 2021. He recorded 37 tackles, 13 sacks, and one forced fumble over the last couple years to make the case for deserving a larger role.

The Dartmouth, N.S. native adds some juice to the Als’ pass rush along with ratio flexibility. The 27-year-old can also play special teams with nine tackles on those units so far in his career.

Pending free agents can negotiate with teams across the league during the current window, which closes on Feb. 11. Players can agree to terms on a contract with a particular team for 2024, however, these deals aren’t legally binding and can’t be finalized or made official until after free agency opens on Feb. 13.
