The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian running back Ante Milanovic-Litre following his release from the Ottawa Redblacks.
The 29-year-old recorded 17 carries for 55 yards and three touchdowns over 16 games this past season, often being used in short-yardage situations. The native of Vancouver, B.C. also made one catch for 10 yards.
The six-foot, 229-pounder has played 89 games over six CFL seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, and Redblacks, carrying the ball 165 times for 647 yards and four touchdowns along with 42 receptions for 329 yards.
Milanovic-Litre was originally selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the fourth round of the 2017 CFL Draft following his collegiate career at Simon Fraser University.
The Ticats also re-signed Canadian receiver Tyler Ternowski, who dressed for only seven games this past season due to injury. He caught six passes for 40 yards and one touchdown on the year.
The six-foot, 185-pound target was a third-round pick in the 2020 CFL Draft out of the University of Waterloo. He has dressed for 31 career games with Hamilton, recording 22 catches for 279 yards and one score.
The Ticats will open their 2024 regular season by visiting the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium on Friday, June 7.
