Argos extend Canadian OL Darius Ciraco through 2026

The Toronto Argonauts have signed Canadian offensive lineman Darius Ciraco to a three-year contract extension, per sources.

The soon-to-be 28-year-old was scheduled to become a free agent on his birthday, February 13, but will now remain in Double Blue through the 2026 season.

Ciraco played in 16 games during his first season with Toronto, making 15 starts at centre. He also started the Eastern Final.

Originally selected sixth overall during the 2018 CFL Draft, the six-foot-four, 292-pound blocker was Hamilton’s nominee for Most Outstanding Rookie that season after starting all 18 regular season games and both playoff games. He spent three seasons with the Tiger-Cats before playing with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2022.

The former Calgary Dino has played in 78 career regular-season games, six playoff games and two Grey Cups.

The Argos are slated to begin their 2024 season on Sunday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET when they host the B.C. Lions.
