Grey Cup champion Zach Lindley retires from CFL at age 24

Montreal Alouettes’ defensive back Zach Lindley has retired from professional football at the age of 24.

The native of Chatham, Ont. played 23 games over the past two seasons, recording two defensive tackles and 22 special teams tackles.

The five-foot-eleven, 190-pound defender was selected in the eighth round of the 2022 CFL Draft out of Western University.

Lindley won the Grey Cup with the Alouettes in 2023 and the Vanier Cup with the Mustangs in 2017 and 2021. He was also named an OUA all-star during his collegiate career.
