The B.C. Lions have signed former NFL receiver Travis Fulgham.
The six-foot-two, 215-pound target was a sixth-round pick of the Detroit Lions in the 2019 NFL Draft and dressed for three games as a rookie before being waived during training camp in 2020.
The 28-year-old joined the Philadelphia Eagles following a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers and caught 38 passes for 538 yards and four touchdowns over 13 games during the 2020 season.
Fulgham spent a portion of the 2021 season on the practice roster with the Eagles before stints with the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, and Packers.
The native of Alexandria, Va. played 39 games at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. from 2015 to 2018 and made 128 catches for 2,044 yards and 18 touchdowns. He is one of only two Monarchs in history to be selected in the NFL draft.
The Lions have also signed American running back Ronald Awatt and American receivers Stanley Berryhill III and Milton Wright.
Awatt signed with the San Francisco 49ers after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft but was waived during training camp. The six-foot, 213-pound ball-carrier played 44 collegiate games at the University of Texas El-Paso, rushing 369 times for 1,781 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 17 passes for 235 yards.
Berryhill signed with the Atlanta Falcons after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but was waived at the conclusion of training camp. The five-foot-nine, 182-pound target dressed for four games as a member of the Detroit Lions later that season and made one tackle. He recorded 139 catches for 1,477 yards and nine touchdowns over a four-year career at the University of Arizona.
Wright signed with the Los Angeles Chargers after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft but was waived near the end of training camp. The six-foot-three, 195-pound target from Louisville, Ky. caught 99 passes for 1,325 yards and 10 touchdowns over 29 collegiate games at Purdue University.
