Calgary Stampeders extend Canadian LB Cameron Judge through 2025

The Calgary Stampeders have signed Canadian linebacker Cameron Judge to a contract extension through 2025.

The six-foot-two, 234-pound defender made 17 starts at weak-side linebacker in 2023 and recorded a career-high 90 tackles, five interceptions, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. He also made eight tackles and one sack during the team’s West Semi-Final loss to the B.C. Lions in Vancouver.

The 29-year-old was originally a first-round pick in the 2017 CFL Draft out of UCLA. He has made 283 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, six forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, nine interceptions, and 10 pass knockdowns over 64 career games as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Argonauts, and Stampeders.

Judge was not a pending free agent but was set to earn a $40,000 off-season roster bonus on Monday, as per 3DownNation reporter John Hodge.

CFL free agency gets underway at noon EST on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
