The Seattle Seahawks have signed Canadian defensive back Jonathan Sutherland to a reserve/futures deal for the 2024 season.

The 25-year-old participated in training camp with the team last year before being waived with an injury designation. He returned to Seattle’s practice roster in October and finished the season on it this past week when the club was eliminated from postseason contention with a 9-8 record.

The five-foot-eleven, 202-pound defender clocked a 4.58-second forty-yard dash at his pro day. He also leaped 37.5 inches in the vertical jump, 123 inches in the broad jump, ran a 4.13-second short shuttle, a 6.87-second three-cone drill, and put up 25 reps of 225 pounds on the bench.
