The Minnesota Vikings worked out a pair of CFL defensive backs on Tuesday, including Reggie Stubblefield of the Montreal Alouettes and Evan Holm of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Stubblefield started 13 games for the Alouettes in 2023 at field-side halfback, boundary halfback, and strong-side linebacker. He recorded 38 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, and one forced fumble to help his team win the Grey Cup.
The six-foot, 195-pound defender finished his collegiate career at Kansas State in 2021 where he made 34 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, two pass knockdowns, one sack, and one fumble recovery. He has never previously signed an NFL contract.
Holm made 64 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, and 12 pass knockdowns over 18 starts at field-side halfback in 2023. He was named a West Division all-star and helped the Blue Bombers make a fourth straight Grey Cup appearance.
The 25-year-old from Edina, Minn. joined the Blue Bombers as a free agent in 2022 following his collegiate career at the University of North Dakota. He dressed for nine games as a rookie that year and recorded 21 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, and one interception.
