Published on

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive tackle Miles Brown to a contract extension.

The six-foot-two, 320-pound defender joined the Riders in 2022, playing in 13 games while making 21 defensive tackles and two sacks. He improved on those numbers in 2023, collecting 22 tackles and four sacks in one fewer game played.

Brown played collegiately at Wofford College, appearing in 50 games and making 49 starts over four seasons. He was a first-team all-conference selection in each of his final three years, making 174 defensive tackles, 38 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, two pass deflections and two forced fumbles.

The 26-year-old went unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft, but signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent. He played in nine regular-season games as a rookie, making four tackles, before serving stints with the Tennessee Titans (2020) and the Detroit Lions (2021).

The Riders are slated to begin their 2024 regular season on Saturday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. ET when they visit the Edmonton Elks.
