Hus your daddy: Saskatchewan Roughriders re-sign long-snapper Jorgen Hus

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed long-snapper Jorgen Hus to a two-year contract extension.

The 34-year-old is the longest-tenured member of the team, having played 131 games with the Riders since his rights were acquired via trade from Edmonton in 2015. He has recorded 21 special teams tackles and one fumble recovery over the course of his career.

The six-foot-one, 230-pounder logged 48 punt snaps that were under 0.9 seconds in 2023, which tied for the second most in the CFL according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). He was also one of only two long-snappers in the league to record zero bad snaps on field goals and extra point attempts in 2023.

The Saskatoon native previously spent time in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Kansas City Chiefs. He played three collegiate seasons at the University of Regina at linebacker and long-snapper.
