All nine CFL teams unveiled their nominees for this year’s year-end individual awards with Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ running back Brady Oliveira double-dipping as his team’s nominee for Most Outstanding Player and Most Outstanding Canadian.
Other double nominees included B.C. Lions’ defensive lineman Mathieu Betts and Saskatchewan Roughriders’ linebacker Larry Dean and punter Adam Korsak.
The winners in each category were determined by a vote from select members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) in each respective CFL city as well as the local club’s head coach.
The division finalists for this year’s awards will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 1. From there, the final league results will be unveiled during the CFL’s annual awards show from Niagara Falls, Ont. on Thursday, Nov. 16.
