The Edmonton Elks have released American receiver Malik Flowers.

The six-foot-two, 202-pound target joined the club’s practice roster last month and did not dress for any regular season games.

The native of Fontana, Calif. earned three second-team FCS All-American honours as a returner at the University of Montana. He also tied the NCAA Division I record with seven career kick return touchdowns.
