The B.C. Lions have signed American linebacker John Petrishen to their practice roster.

The six-foot-one, 225-pound defender signed with the Buffalo Bills after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft, though he didn’t make the club’s final roster.

The native of Lower Burrell, Pa. started his collegiate career at Penn State before transferring to the University of Pittsburgh. He made 88 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks over 33 games with the Panthers and made a team-leading three interceptions as a senior. He was named an All-ACC Honourable Mention selection.
