The Edmonton Elks have added Danny Vandervoort back to their practice roster mere days after releasing him from the squad.

The native of Barrie, Ont. caught eight passes for 75 yards and one touchdown with the Elks in 2022 and spent the first 13 weeks of the 2023 on their practice roster. He is in his fourth season with the team since joining them as a free agent in 2019.

The six-foot-two, 204-pound target was a first-round pick of the B.C. Lions in the 2017 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. He has made 12 receptions for 154 yards and three touchdowns over 57 career CFL games.
