Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign two, including former third-round CFL draft pick

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian linebacker Enoch Penney-Laryea and American linebacker Chris Kolarevic.

Penney-Laryea was selected by the Toronto Argonauts in the third round of the 2022 CFL Draft after playing two seasons at McMaster University (2019-21). The six-foot-one, 230-pound defender dressed for 15 games as a rookie and made two special teams tackles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown. He was released by the team at the end of training camp.

Kolarevic went unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft following two seasons at the University of Nebraska (2021-22). He made 60 total tackles, two tackles for loss and one interception over 22 games with the Cornhuskers. The six-foot-one, 225-pound native of Traverse City, Mich. started his collegiate career at the University of Northern Iowa where he made 144 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, one fumble recovery, seven pass knockdowns, and two interceptions.

The Ticats have also released American receiver Carlos Carriere.
