The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have made a small number of changes to their roster ahead of Friday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders.
Nic Demski will return to the starting lineup after sitting out last week’s win over the Montreal Alouettes due to the birth of his first child. In a corresponding move, Canadian receiver Jeremy Murphy has been moved back down to the practice roster.
Canadian linebacker Shayne Gauthier has been added to the six-game injured list with a foot injury that held him out of practice this past week. Canadian defensive back Kerfalla Exumé and Canadian linebacker Jared Beeksma, both of whom signed with the team this past week, will dress in depth roles.
Projected defensive starters Kyrie Wilson, Winston Rose, Jamal Parker, and Desmond Lawrence all remain on the six-game injured list. Big-bodied receiver Carlton Agudosi remains on the one-game injured list, as does Canadian strong-side linebacker Redha Kramdi.
Winnipeg has won six consecutive regular season games against Calgary at IG Field, a streak that started in 2017. The club swept the three-game season series between the two teams in 2022.
The Blue Bombers (3-1) are scheduled to host the Calgary Stampeders (1-2) on Friday, July 7 at IG Field with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
