Edmonton Elks release Canadian kicker Michael Domagala

The Edmonton Elks have released Canadian kicker Michael Domagala from their practice roster.

The 27-year-old signed with the team in February and appeared in two preseason games, recording five punts for 202 yards.

Domagala spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons as a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He played in 17 games last season, connecting on 12-of-16 field goal attempts, punting 65 times for an average of 44.4 yards, and averaging 66.6 yards on kickoffs.

The Carleton product has connected on 19-of-26 career field goal attempts and 12-of-15 extra points while averaging 44.4 yards per punt.

The Elks (0-2) are set to host the Toronto Argonauts (1-0) on Sunday, June 25 with kickoff at Commonwealth Stadium set for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
