Our Lady Peace to perform halftime show at Montreal Alouettes’ home-opener

The Montreal Alouettes have tapped Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace to play the halftime show at this year’s home-opener at Percival Molson Stadium.

The band was formed in Toronto in 1992 and has since released 10 studio albums, six of which reached at least Platinum status in Canada. Clumsy (1997) went Diamond in Canada, while Gravity (2002) went Gold in the United States.

The group’s most popular songs include “Clumsy,” “Somewhere Out There,” “Innocent,” and “All You Did Was Save My Life.” Lead vocalist and guitarist Raine Mada is the band’s only original remaining member.

The Alouettes finished second in the East Division last season with a 9-9 record and defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East Semi-Final to secure their first playoff win since 2014. They were eliminated from postseason contention the following week following a loss to the eventual Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts.

The club will play their first preseason game on Friday, May 26 when they visit the Ottawa Redblacks at TD Place Stadium. The club’s second preseason game will take place on Friday, June 2 when they host the Ticats.

Montreal’s regular season home-opener is scheduled for Saturday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
