The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American offensive lineman Tre’Mond Shorts.
The six-foot-five, 340-pound blocker attended rookie camp with the Atlanta Falcons after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The native of Hampton, Ga. played his final year of collegiate football at Louisiana State University where he played left tackle, left guard, and on special teams. He dressed for all 14 games and allowed one sack.
The 23-year-old previously played five seasons at East Tennessee State University (2017-21). He made 41 starts over 43 games and was named first-team All-Southern Conference in 2020 and 2021 and second-team All-Southern Conference in 2019.
The Riders have also released American offensive lineman Colton Lamson.
