Edmonton Elks release six, suspend two more offensive linemen

The Edmonton Elks have released six players, including American quarterback Ivory Durham, Canadian receiver Aidan Pearce, American defensive lineman Ronald Ollie, American linebacker JaQuan Artis, American defensive back Marcus Lewis, and Global kicker Rafael Gaglianone.

Durham completed 56.7 percent of his passes for 6,804 yards, 69 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions over four seasons at Valdosta State. He also carried the ball 298 times for 2,403 yards and 27 touchdowns over 50 career games with the Blazers.

Ollie was one of the stars of the hit Netflix reality show Last Chance U. The six-foot-two, 310-pound defender has previously attended training camp with the Las Vegas Raiders and Toronto Argonauts.

Gaglianone was Edmonton’s second-round pick in the 2022 CFL Global Draft out of Brazil. The 28-year-old played collegiately at Wisconsin where he was named second-team All-Big Ten in 2017.

The Elks also suspended American offensive linemen Toryque Bateman and Tony Gray. The club suspended American offensive lineman Ya’Majesty Sanders on Monday.
