Guelph CB Siriman Harrison Bagayogo receives rookie mini-camp invite from Kansas City Chiefs

University of Guelph cornerback Siriman Harrison Bagayogo has received an invitation to attend rookie mini-camp with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The 25-year-old went unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft and is currently an undrafted free agent. Mini-camp invitations provide unheralded prospects with a chance to showcase themselves for NFL teams in the hope of signing a contract afterwards.

Bagayogo was named a first-team All-Canadian at cornerback for a second consecutive season in 2022, establishing himself as one of U Sports’ top cover men. The Bois-des-Filion native has recorded 50.5 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and two blocked kicks while allowing just 16 catches in 23 career games.

He attended the College Gridiron Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas this offseason, interviewing with three NFL teams. He measured six-foot-one and 192 pounds at the CFL Combine last month, running a 4.57-second forty-yard dash, 4.21-second short shuttle, and 6.87-second three-cone. He also posted a 35-inch vertical, nine-foot, 11 3/4-inch broad jump, and nine reps on the bench.

The Canadian prospect did his combine training at EXOS, working out with Seattle Seahawks’ first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Bagayogo is the 15th-ranked prospect in the 2023 CFL Draft, according to the league’s final Scouting Bureau list. Rookie mini-camp invites rarely result in contract offers, meaning the opportunity is unlikely to affect his draft stock.
