The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive lineman Kyshonn Tyson.
The six-foot-four, 280-pound defensive tackle most recently played for the USFL’s Michigan Panthers. He saw action in seven games in 2022, making 21 tackles and three tackles for loss.
Prior to joining the professional ranks, Tyson played semi-pro football for the Detroit Ravens, winning a national championship and taking home defensive MVP honours in that game.
A graduate of Loyola High School in Detroit, he attended Grand Valley State University in 2017 and redshirted. He spent one season at Garden City Community College, collecting 42 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 11 games.
