The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American offensive lineman Joel Figueroa to a two-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
The six-foot-six, 320-pound blocker has played 108 CFL games over nine seasons in the league as a member of the Ticats (2013-15), Edmonton Elks (2016-17), and B.C. Lions (2018-22). He started all 18 regular season games for the Lions at left tackle in 2022 along with the West Final against Winnipeg.
The native of Miami, Fla. was B.C.’s nominee for Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman three times in his four seasons in Vancouver.
Prior to turning pro, the 33-year-old played 42 games over six seasons at the University of Miami (2006-11).
