The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed veteran defensive tackle Micah Johnson.
The 34-year-old spent this past year with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and recorded 24 tackles and seven sacks over 16 regular season games. He was named an East Division all-star and helped the Ticats finish fourth league-wide in sacks with 42.
The nine-year CFL veteran has spent two previous stints with the Riders in 2019 and 2021. He signed a one-year contract with the B.C. Lions in 2020, though he never dressed for the team as the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The six-foot-two, 278-pound defender has made 227 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, 54 sacks, six forced fumbles, and two interceptions over 124 career CFL games with the Calgary Stampeders, Riders, and Ticats.
Johnson has been named a West Division all-star four times, including once as a member of the green and white in 2021. He has also been named a CFL all-star three times and won two Grey Cups as a member of the Stamps in 2014 and 2018.
