Sincerely signed: Argos extend American receiver DaVaris Daniels

The Toronto Argonauts have re-signed American receiver DaVaris Daniels for the 2023 season.

The 30-year-old pass-catcher hauled in a career-high 61 receptions for 860 yards and four touchdowns over 16 games in 2022. Daniels added six catches for 108 yards and one touchdown in the East Final and seven catches for 58 yards in the Grey Cup, helping Toronto capture their 18th championship.

Since signing with the Argonauts ahead of the cancelled 2020 season, Daniels has amassed 112 receptions for 1,457 yards and eight touchdowns.

A product of Notre Dame, Daniels spent his first three seasons in the CFL with Calgary and was named the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie in 2016. He spent the 2019 season with Edmonton, before jumping to Toronto.

In 78 career CFL games, he has amassed 314 receptions for 4,570 yards and 30 touchdowns.
