The Toronto Argonauts have signed American defensive lineman Tyree Johnson, the team announced on Monday.

The six-foot-four, 248-pound edge rusher played 47 games over four seasons with Texas A&M, recording 100 tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, and three forced fumbles. He was named All-SEC Freshman in his first year with the Aggies in 2018 and second-team All-SEC as a senior in 2021 after making nine tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.

The 23-year-old signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but was released by the team in training camp.
