The Edmonton Elks have signed Global kicker Ryan Meskell, the club announced Tuesday.
The native of Gold Coast, Australia played one game with the team this past season, recording four kickoffs for 230 yards in Week 9 against the B.C. Lions.
The 28-year-old spent three seasons at the University of Hawaii where he made 66.7 percent of his field goals and 99.1 percent of his extra point attempts.

The move came one week after the Elks released Global offensive lineman Steven Nielsen, who dressed for 30 games over two seasons with the club. The native of Denmark recently signed with Raiders Tirol, an Austrian team in the European League of Football.
