The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed Canadian linebacker Tommy Bringi.
The five-foot-11, 229-pound defender dressed for 12 games as a rookie in 2022, registering one defensive tackle and six on special teams. He was originally selected by the Riders with the 36th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2022 CFL Draft.
Prior to the CFL, Bringi spent three seasons with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, playing in 23 collegiate games. The 22-year-old recorded 147 tackles, nine-and-a-half tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three interceptions, and two pass breakups over that span, earning OUA First-Team All-Star honours in 2021 and 2019.
