Ottawa Redblacks hire Doug Malone as offensive consultant

The Ottawa Redblacks have hired Doug Malone to their coach staff as an offensive consultant, the team announced on Thursday morning.

Malone first came to the CFL in 2011 when he served as the offensive line coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He later held the same role with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2013-2014) and B.C. Lions (2015). Redblacks’ interim head coach Bob Dyce overlapped with Malone for two years in Saskatchewan.

Malone moved back to the United States in 2016 to serve as the co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach at Western Illinois and most recently served as the offensive coordinator at Tennesee Tech.
