Saskatchewan Roughriders sign first-round CFL Global Draft pick Jordan Genmark Heath

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Global linebacker Jordan Genmark Heath.

The six-foot-one, 225-pound defender was a first-round selection in the 2022 CFL Global Draft. He attended rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs this past summer.

The native of Stockholm, Sweden started all 12 games at UCLA in 2021 and recorded 55 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception. He spent three previous seasons at Notre Dame and made 42 tackles over 39 games.

Genmark Heath moved with his family from Sweden to the United States when he was 14.

The Riders (6-9) are scheduled to visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (4-11) on Friday with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT. The game has significant playoff implications for both teams as they both look to secure the third and final postseason berth in the East Division.
