Harper sat out the 2020 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic and returned for his redshirt senior season in 2021. He threw for 2,478 yards, 20 touchdowns, and five interceptions, leading the team to a 6-5 record.

He went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft and signed with the Cleveland Browns in May following a strong performance in rookie minicamp. He was waived by the team two weeks later.

Montreal also signed American linebackers Jaylan Alexander and Rashaad Harding.

Alexander made 225 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, one sack, seven knockdowns, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery over four seasons at Purdue. The 22-year-old was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten as a junior in 2020.

Harding played at the University of Louisiana–Monroe for three seasons (2017-19) where he made 87 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one knockdown. He transferred to Liberty for the 2021 season and made 72 total tackles, three sacks, and one knockdown.
