The Montreal Alouettes have brought back promising young defensive end Jamal Davis II after a stint with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Davis played his first season in the CFL in 2021, suiting up in nine games with the Als while recording 17 tackles, four sacks, and scoring one defensive touchdown. He signed with the Chargers in the offseason after receiving interest from several NFL teams but was cut following training camp.

The six-foot-four, 250-pound pass rusher was a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2019, dressing for three games. He also spent time with the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns. The 26-year-old earned over $230,000 during his first stint in the NFL.
