The B.C. Lions have signed three American receivers to their practice roster, including Nykeim Johnson, TJ Rahming, and Fabian Guerra.

Johnson made 50 receptions for 620 yards and three touchdowns as a senior at Kent State in 2021 along with 83 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He previously dressed for 46 games over four years at Syracuse and made 88 receptions for 1,055 yards and eight touchdowns, earning second-team All-ACC honours as a kick returner.

Rahming spent most of the 2021 season on B.C.’s practice squad and dressed for one game without registering a statistic. The five-foot-ten, 170-pound target caught 253 passes for 2,919 yards and 13 touchdowns at Duke University with a career-high of 240 receiving yards in the 2018 Independence Bowl.

Guerra signed with the Montreal Alouettes in 2020 but opted out of his contract following the cancellation of the CFL season. He recently spent time with the Blues of The Spring League and has previously enjoyed success in Arena football, earning the AFL’s co-rookie of the year award in 2019 as a member of the Columbus Destroyers.

The Lions (8-3) are scheduled to visit the Calgary Stampeders (8-4) on Saturday with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
