The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released defensive end L.B. Mack from the team’s practice roster.
The 24-year-old dressed for six games early this season but had not been on the active roster since Week 8. He recorded five defensive tackles and one on special teams while adding two sacks. He started the first game of the season in place of an injured Jackson Jeffcoat.
The six-foot-two, 230-pound edge rusher came to the Blue Bombers after an NCAA career with the University of Rhode Island. Mack was named to the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association All-Conference second team and finished his career second in program history for tackles for loss with 39 and fourth in sacks with 21.
