The Montreal Alouettes have released American defensive back Jarnor Jones.
The 28-year-old dressed for one game with the team this season, recording four tackles. His best season came in 2019 when he dressed for 17 games with six starts and made 23 defensive tackles and 11 special teams tackles.
The six-foot-three, 209-pound defender played two seasons at Iowa State (2015-16) where he recorded 45 solo tackles, 33 assisted tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 10 knockdowns, three sacks, and one interception over 23 games with the Cyclones.
The Alouettes (3-6) are scheduled to host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-6) on Saturday, Aug. 20 with kickoff slated for 4:00 p.m EDT.
