Pittsburgh Steelers sign former CFL defensive lineman James Vaughters

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive lineman James Vaughters.

The 29-year-old dressed for ten games with the Atlanta Falcons last season and recorded eight total tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble before being released in May. He spent the previous two years with the Chicago Bears and made 25 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks over 17 games.

The six-foot-two, 255-pound edge rusher played in 33 games over two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders (2017-18) and recorded 50 tackles, 11 sacks, and eight special teams tackles in 33 games. He also won a Grey Cup as a member of the team in 2018.
