The Edmonton Elks have released American running back Devin Wynn.
The six-foot, 211-pound ball carrier signed with the team in July and did not see any game action. The native of Greensboro, Ga. is in his first year of professional football following a five-year career at Furman University.
Wynn rushed for 2,960 yards and 31 touchdowns with the Paladins and was an All-Southern Conference selection on two occasions. He recorded 104 carries for 492 yards and six touchdowns as a senior in 2021 along with 12 catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
The Elks (2-6) are slated to host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-4) at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 10:00 p.m. EDT.
