The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have brought back Canadian linebacker Jared Beeksma for a second stint with the team.

The 24-year-old was released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders this past weekend after joining the team amid their COVID-19 outbreak. He did not dress for a game with the team.

The six-foot-two, 215-pound native of Cambridge, Ont. was selected by the Ticats in the fifth round, 46th overall, in the 2022 CFL Draft out of Guelph. He made the practice roster after training camp and played in one game against Winnipeg in Week 3 before being released on July 10.
