The Montreal Alouettes have placed quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. on the one-game injured list ahead of Thursday’s contest against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The 29-year-old was limited in practice all week due to an elbow injury. He has dressed for five games this season with two starts, completing 53.8 percent of his passes for 294 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He has also rushed the ball eight times for 33 yards and one touchdown.

Adams Jr. did not dress for the club’s Week 3 game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders after testing positive for COVID-19.
