Edmonton Elks sign Canadian receiver Vincent Forbes-Mombleau

The Edmonton Elks have signed Canadian receiver Vincent Forbes-Mombleau to the practice roster.

The 23-year-old was selected in the third round of the 2022 CFL Draft by the Montreal Alouettes. The native of Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Que. native attended training camp with the team but was released following its conclusion.

The native of Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Que. spent four seasons at Université Laval where he was voted the RSEQ’s Rookie of the Year in 2018. In 2021, he recorded 30 receptions for 383 yards and one touchdown. He performed 22 reps of 225 pound on the bench press at the 2022 CFL Combine.

Edmonton also moved American running back Sherman Badie from the active roster to the practice roster. He has dressed for four games and made three starts, recording 26 carries for 109 yards and one touchdown.

The Elks are slated to host the two-time defending Grey Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday evening at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
