The native of Ajax, Ont. was a second-round pick in the 2019 CFL Draft out of Fresno State. He dressed for 12 games as a rookie and recorded eight defensive tackles and one special teams tackle, making three starts at field-side cornerback.

Boateng returned to the team in 2021 and dressed for 12 games, making three defensive tackles and two special teams tackles. He started one game at field-side cornerback.

The five-foot-ten, 169-pound cover man dressed for Toronto’s victory over the Montreal Alouettes in Week 2 but did not register a statistic.

Boateng played 14 games for the Bulldogs as a senior in 2018 and made one start, recording three tackles and one pass knockdown. He previously played at Arizona Western College and the University of Kansas.
