The Edmonton Elks have signed Canadian quarterback Mike Beaudry (again).

Beaudry was released from the team’s practice roster on June 27 after being added to it on June 14. He originally made the team’s practice roster after training camp, though he was released on June 11. This marks what is technically his third stint separate with the team.

The Regina native will dress for his first career regular season CFL game this week against the Montreal Alouettes.

Beaudry recorded a defensive tackle in one preseason appearance against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers while playing primarily at fullback.

He played 11 games across a shortened spring campaign and 2021 regular season at the University of Idaho. He completed 188-of-301 passes for 2,093 yards with seven touchdowns and nine interceptions, while rushing for 165 yards and a score.

The Elks also signed American offensive lineman D’Antne Demery to the team’s practice roster. He was with the Elks training camp this year and dressed for one game with Edmonton last season.

Edmonton also placed Canadian offensive lineman Nicholas Summach on the suspended list. The former seventh-round draft pick spent the first month of the CFL season on the team’s practice roster.
