The Calgary Stampeders have brought back Canadian offensive lineman Jonathan Zamora.
The six-foot-three, 312-pound blocker was selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the third round of the 2020 CFL Draft out of St. FX. He spent most of the 2021 season on Calgary’s practice roster but was claimed by the Toronto Argonauts on Nov. 2, 2021.
Zamora dressed for two regular season games with the Argos last year — starting one at centre — as well as the East Final. He also dressed for Toronto’s first two games of the 2022 regular season but was released last week.
The native of Mississauga, Ont. previously attended Canada Prep Academy and was named an Atlantic University Sport all-star with the X-Men in 2019.
