The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have activated Canadian offensive lineman Coulter Woodmansey from the six-game injured list.

The 24-year-old was selected in the first round, fifth overall, of the 2020 CFL Draft out of the University of Guelph. The six-foot-five, 310-pound Toronto native played in nine games last season for the Tiger-Cats. He started seven regular season games — six at right guard and one at centre — and all three postseason games including the Grey Cup.

He was originally placed on the injured list during training camp.

The Ticats have allowed ten sacks through three games this season, which ranks seventh league-wide. The club has also struggled to produce yardage along the ground, averaging a league-worst 3.6 yards per carry.

Hamilton traded for veteran American offensive tackle Colin Kelly from the Edmonton Elks this past weekend to help secure the offensive line.

The Ticats are set to host Edmonton at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday in a battle of 0-3 squads.
