The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added quarterback Dakota Prukop to the six-game injured list.

The 28-year-old was the club’s third-string quarterback in Week 1 against the Ottawa Redblacks and took snaps in the red zone, rushing four times for ten yards and a touchdown.

The five-year veteran suited up for 49 games as a member of the Toronto Argonauts (2017-19) and Edmonton Elks (2021) before signing with Winnipeg in February, completing 36 passes for 467 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also rushed for 173 yards and two scores.

Prukop was not listed on Winnipeg’s injury report on Tuesday, leaving the nature of his injury unclear.

In a move that appears to be related, the club moved former University of Richmond quarterback Joe Mancuso from the suspended list to the active roster.

The six-foot-four, 215-pound pivot signed with Winnipeg in May. He became the first quarterback in school history to throw for 5,500 yards and rush for another 1,500. He finished his college career with more than 7,000 all-purpose yards and finished fifth all-time in Richmond history with 39 touchdowns.

The Blue Bombers (1-0) are scheduled to visit the Ottawa Redblacks (0-1) on Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET at TD Place Stadium.
