Where’s Ebony?: Stampeders sign Iowa running back Ivory Kelly-Martin

The Calgary Stampeders have signed American running back Ivory Kelly-Martin.

The five-foot-eleven, 200-pound back spent five years at Iowa, including a redshirt season in 2019. In 44 games during his Hawkeyes career, he ran 181 times for 804 yards and six touchdowns, caught 25 passes for 199 yards and one score and added 23 kickoff returns for 525 yards.

In 2017, Kelly-Martin became the first true freshman for Iowa in seven years to rush for two touchdowns in the same game. His senior season saw him record 45 carries for 202 yards and one touchdown.

Kelly-Martin is expected to be on the field on Wednesday when Calgary’s rookie camp kicks off at McMahon Stadium.

In another transaction, the Stamps have released American defensive lineman Jarrell Owens. The Oklahoma State alum appeared in three games for the Stamps in 2021 and recorded one tackle.
