Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch visited the Toronto Argonauts on Tuesday, according to this Twitter post from team defensive coordinator Corey Mace.

Mace and Lynch overlapped with the Buffalo Bills for three seasons (2007-09) before the Canadian defensive lineman came north to sign with the Calgary Stampeders in 2010. According to a team spokesperson, the pair have remained friends off the field over the years and Lynch stopped in to visit with Mace as part of a trip to Canada.

Lynch played 13 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Oakland Raiders. He rushed for 10,413 yards and 85 touchdowns and made 287 receptions for 2,214 yards and nine touchdowns. He led the league in rushing in 2012 with 1,590 yards and was named to the Pro Bowl five times.

The five-foot-eleven, 215-pound ball carrier was named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team and recently joined the ownership group of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken.
