Ticats re-sign two Global defensive linemen, including Valentin Gnahoua

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed two Global defensive linemen, Valentin Gnahoua and David Izinyon.

The 27-year-old Gnahoua appeared in nine regular season games for the Ticats in 2021, registering one special teams tackle. The six-foot-two, 235-pound native of Le Mans, France also dressed in the East Semi-Final vs. Montreal, registering three special teams tackles.

The McGill University product has suited up in 20 career games over two seasons (2019 and 2021) with the Tiger-Cats, registering five special teams and one recovered fumble. He was originally selected by Hamilton in the first round, first overall in the 2019 CFL European Draft.

The 28-year-old Izinyon dressed in one regular season game for the Tabbies in 2021. The six-foot-one, 240-pound native of Surrey, England, was originally selected by Hamilton in the third round, 26th overall in the 2021 CFL Global Draft.

Izinyon previously played for various European clubs including the Tychy Falcons (Poland), the Rostock Griffins (Germany), the Hameenlinna Huskies (Finland), the London Warriors (England) and the University of Surrey Stingers (England).
