Blue Bombers re-sign former NFL receiver Blake Jackson

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed American receiver Blake Jackson.

The five-foot-11, 200-pound Jackson was having a promising 2021 training camp prior to suffering a season-ending injury in July.

Previous to signing with Winnipeg, the Texas native was with the XFL’s Houston Roughnecks.

He spent parts of 2018 on Cleveland’s roster, seeing action in one game. The 27-year-old attended training camp with the Calgary Stampeders in 2018.

Jackson played three seasons as a quarterback at Mary Hardin-Baylor, completing 311-of-487 pass attempts for 4,311 yards. He threw 49 touchdowns and led the Crusaders to a NCAA Division III national championship as a senior and was named Southwest Conference offensive player of the year and an all-American.
